So I really loved the Kincaid Pack books and was excited to see Clark’s first contemporary work, but also a little nervous as genre hopping doesn’t always work. IT WORKED HERE. This book was everything I didn’t know I needed (but I was fairly certain I wanted). Age gap, dads best friend (yeah, wasn’t lying about the age gap), a bisexual awakening with zero angst about it, absolutely filthy dirty talk liable to light your kindle on fire. This book truly had it all. I laughed quite a bit, I had a big cheesy smile on my face for the rest. There was a little drama, I guess you could call it angst, but I really wouldn’t, but it was resolved quickly whenever it happened and added just the right amount of tension. I’m pretty sure this is Clark’s first year writing, and I hope she never stops.
